Now Shooting Exclusively in High Definition (HD) at No Extra Charge!
Making the move from Standard (SD) to High Definition (HD): Moving to High Definition widescreen, is pretty much like starting our business over from scratch. We've had to purchase all new equipment, beginning with HD cameras, computers, monitors, software capable of editing HD, and even new on-camera lighting, all of which is quite expensive when summed up. Furthermore, delivering HD content on Blu-ray disk not only involves an additional expense in equipment, but also in time involved, not to mention the current price of Blu-ray media.
So, we’ve made the long awaited move to High Definition! At no additional cost to our clients, we're now shooting, editing, and mastering our weddings exclusively in high definition (HD). However, to avoid passing the additional expense to our clients, we will continue to deliver content on standard definition (SD) widescreen DVDs. It's important to note that even though your video will be in the widescreen format, it will still look just fine on a standard 4:3 television set. However, you will see some black space on top and at the bottom of the screen just as you do when watching a widescreen Hollywood movie on a standard TV set.
The benefit's of shooting in HD versus SD even if delivering in SD: First of all, your video will be of much higher quality when shot and mastered in HD versus SD. In other words, SD originating from footage of a higher resolution source (HD camera) is better than SD from a SD source (SD camera). Another benefit to shooting your wedding in HD is the fact that it allows us to re-author your wedding video at a later date to HD Blu-ray disk when your ready. In other words, If it's not shot in HD now, it CAN'T be delivered in HD later, so there's no turning back.
If you want your wedding delivered on Blu-ray disk now, there's a prerequisite requiring you to purchase at least the Silver or higher package and a HD surcharge of $495 will be added.
