Video 07 Convention & Trade Show
My trip started Sunday, January 7th as I left the Louisville, KY airport at 8:30 am. I arrived to the Atlanta airport for a 2 1/2 hour layover before heading to Jacksonville, FL. I don’t mind traveling, but I don’t care much for spending time at airports. I was so excited with anticipation; I just couldn’t wait to start meeting people. So I figured that if I laid out my 4Ever Group folder out on the table next to me in the terminal where I was sitting, maybe someone else that was headed to the conference would take notice and introduce himself or herself and provide conversation to pass time.
As I was sitting there, I kept glancing over my shoulder at a young man that looked quite familiar to me. He resembled a young man by the name of Joshua Smith owner and founder of Cinematic & Elegant Productions based in Monroe, LA. I’ve never personally met Joshua, but I had frequently visited his web site throughout the past year and have been extremely impressed with his work. Furthermore, he was to be one of the presenters at the Video 07 conference. A couple minutes later this young man walked over and introduced himself to me as Joshua Smith! Wow, the next two hours passed as though it were about 10 minutes. Not only did I get to meet Josh, but his father Charles was traveling with him. Man did I get a lot of inside information about Josh and his accomplishments! What a privilege it was meeting them. Needless to say, since Josh was a speaker at the conference, his travel was paid for by the organization. Evidently though, his fathers airfare wasn’t provided because when it was time to start boarding the plane, Josh informed his dad that he had been bumped up to first class, and his dad was setting back in coach not far from me, how funny!
Day one has just begun, and the conference didn’t even officially start until the next day, Sunday Jan 8th. I’ll not try to describe the rest of day one to you all in one post, I’ll continue it as I get the chance so please come back and visit soon for “the rest of the story” In the mean-time, here are some pictures from the 4Ever Groups web site that were taken on Sunday and Monday will give you a feel for what took place in Jacksonville!
(To Be Continued)

What an interesting subject to write about your thoughts on. I too was exremely excited to go to the 4Ever conference. So many great people, wonderful ideas and quality work all in one location!! I was lucky enough to fly with the fantastic group from southern California, Steve & Laura Moses, Jeff & Andee Wright and Jeff & Julie Hill. All three of these couples are award winning videographers from my area. To get to know them all personally just added to the excitement of the whole event. I look forward to hearing more of your story. Don't delay with part two.
